‘The tip of the iceberg’: a collective case study of male military sexual violence in the UK Armed Forces, from policy to the perspectives of male veterans and professionals in support services
This collective case study explores male military sexual violence in the UK Armed Forces. The research considers the experiences of male veterans, the perspectives of support service professionals and current UK policy around sexual violence in the Armed Forces, and is being undertaken by postgraduate researcher Emily Snow.
The aim of this research is to address the research gap surrounding male experiences of sexual violence in the UK Armed Forces. Data was collected through interviews with male veterans who have been subjected to sexual violence, as well as professionals from veteran support services who have supported male veterans following sexual violence. In addition to this, a document analysis of government policies and documents around military sexual violence was conducted.
